Hey guys welcome back to Lunar Blogs!

It is no surprise to the people that have read my blogs so far that I love everything that has to do with space and the moon and I feel a really deep connection with the cosmos. To a lot of you it just might sound like I am crazy, but to the few that either understand it or want to understand it I thought this would be a fun topic for this week.

I am not gonna lie this whole Coronavirus thing has me really shook, and my anxiety has kicked in full this weekend. I figured focusing and grounding myself in the things that I love and make me happy would be the perfect way to distract myself.

I thought I would explain the basics of Astrology and not the bullshit Horoscopes you see in magazines that make people skeptical about it. I have been studying Astrology for a few years now and even though I am not an expert I do have a different take on it and good understanding that I feel I can share with all of you. I thought the perfect way to start this would be talking about the misconceptions of Astrology:

- So many people that do not understand it automatically dismiss it as a pseudoscience and question how there is only twelve signs and there cannot be only twelve personalities, they will not fit everyone in the world. The response to this is that Astrology is extremely specific and complex and that every single person has a Birth Chart (which I will explain later) I like think of it like a "Snowflake" where every single one of them is so different. You are not just one sign.

- Another misconception is that people worship the stars and planets and that people that believe in Birth Charts and Astrology also believe that they are the ones that tell our fate. Astrologers believe that we can have an amazing connection with the cosmos, but most do not believe that planets can make you act in a certain way or that if you worship the stars that they will do something for you. I like to say that there is no mystery in this, we were born in this planet called Earth and our planet belongs to the same Solar System as the rest of the eight planets (if you count Pluto). So why wouldn't the rest of the planets energies have an affect on us? With that being said though I do not think that they decide our fate either.

In a nutshell Astrology has really helped me understand a lot about myself and my relationship with others, it has helped me understand why certain people may approach situations in a different way that I would and with that, understand people a little better. You do not need to be a religious person to believe in this or study it, it does not take away from any believe that you may have it might just be a fun tool to use or conversation topic with others. Astrology is a very old science, it was first started in the Babylonian times. They would use Astrology to explain events and time periods. In that time the only ones that could get their Birth Chart read were Kings and Pharaohs.

I wanted to share my full Birth Chart with you guys and even though I feel extremely vulnerable sharing this, I figured if I am going to talk about this then you guys would understand it more in a personal level. If you guys are interested in doing this there are some things you need to know. First obviously your full name, Then you need to know more or less where you were born and the exact time (The reason why you need the exact time I will explain in a little bit). Some people do not have this information which sucks but it truly makes a big difference in your chart.

The Center of the Birth Chart (On the more complex Chart) you see is "Me" where I was born and when I was born. We all know that the Sun is the center of the Solar System, so in Astrology you become the Sun (which is why there is a Sun Sign). The Zodiac is a map of the heavens, it is shaped like a pie, divided off into twelve sections.

The Sun takes one month to travel through each sign but it is a thirty day period that over laps two months (Aries is March 21- April 19).

The Moon on the other hand travels the entire zodiac wheel, all twelve signs in one month.

There are Twelve signs in the zodiac and there are in order:

Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces

These four signs are divided into four different elements and they are:

Fire, Earth, Air, Water

Fire Signs - Leo, Aries, Sagittarius

Earth Signs - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Air - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Water - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

Now this is where it gets a little bit more complicated, each one of those groups like (Leo, Aries, Sagittarius) one of each of these three fall into three different categories. I hope I did not lose you there...

This categories are called QUALITIES:

Cardinal Signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn

- Natural born leaders, Innovators, You are mostly primarily about yourself but there is nothing wrong with that.

Fixed Signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius

- Stubborn, Stuck in your believes, A lot of people call them Narrow minded and its not necessarily bad you have one path and believe in right and wrong.

Mutable Signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces

- Flexible, Adaptable to different situations, Social butterflies, You also like to start things but do not like to finish them.

So to explain a little bit about the elements and the signs, Earth Signs tend to be a little bit more realistic, and down to earth. Fire signs are a little more bold, outgoing and risky. Water Signs are known to be emotional. Where as Air signs are more free spirited.

Your Sun Sign is your personality as a whole, it is going to change a little bit that is why sometimes you might relate to some things but not all. That is due to the fact that it is going to be affected by your other placements (planets). Your Sun Sign is like the core of your personality or some people like to call it the CEO of your Chart.

Now your Moon Sign, is your deeper inner self. A lot more people tend to relate to their moon signs a lot more. You are the only person who knows your inner thoughts, your emotions, your deep self.

Your Rising Sign (Also called an Ascendant) is where the Sun was rising in the horizon the minute your were born. It is the one that represents the outer most layer of you, or first impression.

I know it seems like a lot right now, and a lot of information is being thrown at you. Let me try to explain it in regards to me. Now I am a Cancer Sun, what that means is that over all nurturing, empathy and home are my go-to's. We love hard, and wear our emotions on our sleeve. But! I am an Aries Moon, what that means is that deep down I am super independent and want to do things on my own. Aries are the first of the zodiac and deep down energy consumes me, my Cancer Sun brings me down to a more introvert state though. Only people close to me might know this side of me while to others I may seem like I am just shy and emotional. My Rising Sign is Gemini and I never understood why people tend to think I was a bitch, or not approachable until I learned this. My Gemini Rising was the cause of that I can come off as very observant and quiet, my mind is always moving while my mouth may not be. Now that is just a quick explanation.

Quickly I will explain the other planets you will find in your Birth Chart:

Mercury - Is your communication. How you write, type and speak.

Venus - Is the planet of Love and Beauty. (Feminine)

Mars - Affects the way you fight with other people, handle conflict and aggression. It also rules over your sex drive. (Masculine)

Jupiter - Is the planet of Luck, Success, and Generosity as well as Optimism

Saturn - Is the planet of Misfortune (The shittiest one of them all) it is the life lesson you are going to learn. It represents your fears, your discipline, all the tough stuff about life.

Uranus - Is change and originality

Neptune - Dreams and Healing

Pluto - Is power and transformation.

All these planets move at different rates. As I said the Sun moves through each sign every thirty days, The Moon takes about two to three days, Mercury is every three to four weeks, Venus is every four to five weeks, Saturn is every two to three years, Uranus is every seven years, Neptune is every ten to twelve years.

Now I am going to stop myself right there because I figured you either checked out or maybe that was enough information for today. Over all as you can see Astrology is really complex and if you are some what interested in it and do some research you will notice is a lot more interesting than some people make it to be. I hope that this blog was not too boring like I said, I wanted to make it a little fun and informative to kind of distract me and who ever is reading with all the fear and situations going on in the world right now. After all this blog is to share with you guys a lot of the tools I have learned and used on my Spiritual Journey and Astrology has definitely played a big part on that.

I cannot leave with out telling you guys to please take care of yourselves, take all the precautions necessary in your every day lives and Stay Positive like I always say. Things will pass and as long as everyones families and loved ones are healthy we can only hope for the best at the rest of the world.
